A Distinctive Vision

Kickline Theatre Company was established in 1990 by lead producer Ian Trafford, to create distinctive plays and musicals for the south west of England and beyond.

From its earliest days, the company carved out a distinctive style and identity, hailed as 'flamboyant' by 'The Sunday Times' for its regular appearances at the Edinburgh Festival and at numerous arts festivals around the UK.

In recent years, the company has offered annual pantomimes at the 500-seater Exeter Corn Exchange, to ecstatic reviews. Top West End talent has joined the company to offer the very best family entertainment to Devon audiences and beyond.

In 2015, Kickline undertook its boldest challenge to date, producing a brand new musical, 'Merlin's Apprentice', to great acclaim:

Kickline Theatre Company is an entirely independent production company, which means it receives no grants or funding of any kind. We continue to enjoy a long and prosperous life solely based on the fact that audiences love to see our shows!
